27 Jan SOGIN – Storage Containers CP-5.2 & CP-2.6
Monsud S.p.A., thanks to its great experience in nuclear matters, is involved in various decommissioning activities of Sogin’s nuclear sites.
Monsud is involved in design, construction and testing of prismatic containers (CP-5.2: nominal volume 5.2 m3; CP-2.6: nominal volume 2.6 m3), used for conditioning and storage of low-level radioactive waste.
The value of both contracts is in the range of 500.000 EUR.
The containers are mainly used for the storage of low activity dry solid radioactive waste (metal scrap, concrete debris, components, etc.), as defined by the Decree on the classification of radioactive waste.
Monsud, thanks to its engineering team and its highly specialized workforce, follows the product from its construction design to its manufacturing and commissioning.
