Production Plants

The production of prefabs and sub-assemblies are developed in the following divisions

Avellino (AV)

Total area: 26.000 mq, covered area: 15.000 mq, n. 12 bridge cranes (up to 48 tons of maximum load capacity).

The plant stands in the industrial area of Avellino, where the Company’s main offices are located too. The production is mainly dedicated to tubular structures, polygonal poles in welded sheet metal for overhead power lines and telecommunications. The main equipment are:

  • SOMO hydraulic press, 2.000 tons, maximum length 14.000 mm
  • ESAB oxygen/plasma cutting for sheet metal
  • SIMAC submerged arc welding system
  • CORIMPEX submerged arc welding system for monoshell polygonal poles
  • EVRIT Radial 50 rolling machine for threading

Mechanical department

In 2018 the plant of Avellino was expanded with an additional plant of about 1.200 square meters fully dedicated to high precision mechanical processing. The main equipment are:

  • PAMA Speedram 2000 – CNC milling-boring center
  • DMG MORI DMU 210 P Special – CNC 5-axis machining center
  • GIANA GGTRONIC 820×9000 – CNC horizontal lathe machine

Tufo (AV)

Total area: 25.000 mq, covered area: 9.000 mq, n. 8 bridge cranes (up to 15 tons of maximum load capacity)
The production plant is equipped with automatic CNC production lines for the manufacturing of HEA/HEB/IPE profiles, angular profiles, sheets metal and medium dimensions products. The main machines and equipment are:

– n.2 FICEP automatic cutting, drilling and marking lines
– n.2 automatic lines for angular profiles
– n. 2 FICEP CNC P401 automatic lines for punching, drilling marking on sheet metal
– Rodent press for the stripping of steel profiles and plates
– Hydraulic press with modular prisms
– ESAB COMBIREX CXE-P 4000 automatic machine for thermal cutting with oxygen and plasma CNC NCE 520

 

Montemiletto (AV)

Total area: 35.000 mq, covered area: 10.000 mq, storage area: 15.000 mq, n.10 bridge cranes (up to 30 tons of maximum load capacity)
The plant is fully dedicated to the production of lattice towers for electricity transmission lines. The plant is equipped with production lines for HEA/HEB/IPE profiles, angular profiles, sheet metal and big dimensions products. The main equipment includes:

– n. 4 FICEP automatic cutting, drilling and marking lines for beams, angular profiles and steel plates
– MG 4-roller calender
– CORIMPEX automatic beam welding system
– KUKA welding and plasma cutting robot
– Induction furnace for angular profiles bending

Painting department
Total area 2.000 mq
This department is fully dedicated to sandblasting and painting cycles up to 5.000 µm of thickness on metal structures and components.

Testing laboratories
Every Monsud workshop has his own testing laboratory, where the tests on materials can be performed.
The laboratories have the following equipment:
– GALDABINI SUN 60 with software for conducting, simulation and recording of tensile tests (max 60 ton)
– Electronic hammer pendulum for resilience test
– INDENTEC 281 LK for Rockwell hardness test
– GPANAMETRICS EPOCH ultrasonic generator
– YOKE CGM magnetic yoke (48 V)
– ELCOMETER thickness gauge for measurement and testing of surface coatings
